Manchester United injury woes isn’t ending soon with Daniel James the latest to join the long list of the injured players ahead of their Europa League opener against Astana at Old Trafford.
James is believed to have picked a knock in the club’s weekend win over Leicester City and missed the club’s training on Wednesday morning.
Apart from James, midfielder Paul Pogba was another player who missed Wednesday training; others being Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw.
There was better news for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, however, with Jesse Lingard rejoining the squad following an illness and Diogo Dalot also taking part after recovering from a hip injury.
Another interesting inclusion in the session was Charlie Wellens, 16, the son of former United trainee and current Swindon boss Richie Wellens.
The United boss has acknowledged that he will use the Europa League to give some of the club’s youngsters an opportunity, even though United’s success in this competition three years ago opened the door for a return to the Champions League.
